Bridge Replacement Starts Next Week in Alamance County

ALAMANCE COUNTY – A project to replace a local bridge begins next week.

Crews plan to close Hughes Mill Road where it crosses Jordan Creek in northern Alamance County starting Monday at 9 a.m. The road will be closed at this location until the bridge replacement is complete – tentatively in mid-January.

Until then, drivers will be detoured along N.C. 62 and Willie Pace Road to access points on either side of the closure.

Drivers should allow extra time for the detour and be mindful of crews working to replace the bridge in this area.
