Two Weeks of Closures Anticipated for Forsyth County Ramp

WINSTON-SALEM – Starting next week, the N.C. Department of Transportation will close a ramp onto a Forsyth County road to perform landscaping over the next two weeks, weather permitting.

Beginning the week of Oct. 4, from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., crews will close the ramp from Robinhood Road to southbound Silas Creek Parkway.  The closures are necessary to trim back bushes and trees that have overgrown and have extended onto the roadway area.

Crews will attempt to do as much work as possible without closures, but the ramp will have to close to protect workers and traffic.  Work is expected to be complete the following week.

A signed detour will be in place following Robinhood Road, Peace Haven Road, Country Club Road and Silas Creek Parkway.

Motorists should drive carefully through the area and plan for delays in the event of closures.
