MILTON – A section of N.C. 62 in northern Caswell County is set to close next week so crews can safely perform maintenance work.
N.C. 62/Academy Street will be closed at Holder Street and Holder Street will also be closed at this location while crews replace a damaged drainage pipe under the highway. The work and associated closure are expected to begin at 7 a.m. Monday and last through Friday afternoon, weather permitting.
Drivers will be detoured to follow N.C. 57/Broad Street and Yarboroughs Mill Road to access points on either side of the N.C. 62 work zone. Holder Street will be accessible by way of N.C. 57/Broad Street and Palmers Alley.
Drivers should slow down and be mindful of crews working in this area of Milton and factor the detours into their commutes.
