EMERALD ISLE – The work to improve the Emerald Isle Bridge will resume Nov. 29 after pausing for the Thanksgiving holiday.
The N.C. Department of Transportation’s contractor will be allowed to have one lane closed at any time from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. Monday through Sunday. Work will pause again Dec. 18 for the Christmas and New Year’s holidays.
Lane closures will resume in the new year, but will continue to pause during high travel times, including holidays. NCDOT will send updates as those dates approach.
