Road Work Continues on I-40 in Forsyth County

​WINSTON-SALEM – For the next week, an N.C. Department of Transportation contractor will close lanes of Interstate 40 in Forsyth County for an ongoing rehabilitation and bridge preservation project, weather permitting.

Tonight and Friday from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m., one of two southbound lanes of N.C. 66 will be closed at the bridge over I-40.

On Jan. 9-13 from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning, two of three lanes will be closed on I-40 East from west of Peters Creek Parkway to east of Peters Creek Parkway.

Motorists should remain cautious when traveling through the work zones and plan for delays.
