CHINA GROVE – Starting next week, N.C Department of Transportation contractors will temporarily close a route in Rowan County for several months for a bridge replacement.
On January 18, crews will close Stirewalt Road between N.C. 152 and Weaver Road to replace the bridge over Fork of Grants Creek. Work is expected to be complete by November 30.
A detour will be in place using N.C. 152, Brown Road, Lipe Road and Stirewalt Road.
Motorists are advised to use caution when approaching the work zone and plan for delays due to the detour.
