CASHIERS – A short section of N.C. 107 south of Cashiers will be closed Wednesday night for the installation of a private bridge over the highway.
N.C. 107 will be closed between Chatooga Woods Road and Sheep Laurel Road for 12 hours starting at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday night for the safety of the traveling public and construction workers who will be utilizing heavy equipment.
Drivers heading south from U.S. 64 will be detoured to N.C. 281 in Sapphire Valley. Drivers heading north from the South Carolina state line will be detoured to Wigington Road, S.C. 130 (Whitewater Falls Road) and N.C. 281 to U.S. 64.
