WINSTON-SALEM – This weekend, the N.C. Department of Transportation will have multiple closures along Interstate 40 to perform work for the Winston-Salem Northern Beltway project.
The right lane of I-40 East will be closed between mile markers 198 and 200 (approaching the Union Cross Road exit) at the following times:
- Friday, from 9 p.m. to 7 a.m. the following morning.
- Saturday, from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. the following morning.
- Sunday, from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning (if work is not complete by Sunday morning).
Motorists are advised to use additional caution and remain alert for road crews when approaching the work zone.
