WINSTON-SALEM – An N.C. Department of Transportation contractor plans to close part of a Forsyth County road for several months beginning next week for a bridge replacement project.
Beginning Sept. 19, Old Salisbury Ridge Road will be closed to through traffic from Hutton Street to Buchanan Street. The closure will allow contractors to replace the bridge on Salisbury Ridge Road over N.C. 150 (Peters Creek Parkway). Work is expected to be completed by June 2023.
A detour will be in place using Silas Creek Parkway (N.C. 67), Buchanan Street and Salisbury Ridge Road.
Drivers are reminded slow down when approaching the work zone and allow extra time for detours.
