THOMASVILLE – The N.C. Department of Transportation in conjunction with the CSX Railroad will be temporarily closing a road in Davidson County next month for a railroad crossing upgrade.
From Oct. 3-7, Holly Hill Road will be closed near Julian Avenue to allow CSX Railroad to safely replace the tracks at the railroad crossing. NCDOT maintenance crews will then repave the roadway at this crossing and will reopen once all repairs are made.
Motorists are advised to use Liberty Drive, Cloninger Road and Julian Avenue as a detour route.
Motorists are also advised to use extra caution in this high traffic area.
