WINSTON-SALEM – N.C. Department of Transportation contractors will close multiple lanes along Interstate 40 in Forsyth County tonight and tomorrow night for maintenance and construction.
The following closures will take place from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning:
- Tonight, two of three lanes are scheduled to be closed on I-40 West from east of Hanes Mall Boulevard to west of Stratford Road.
- Tonight, one of two lanes are scheduled to be closed on the Exit 238 offramp from U.S. 421 South to I-40 East. In conjunction with the lane closure, the exit loop onto I-40 East from the connector ramp between U.S. 421 North and I-40 West will be closed with a detour.
- Tomorrow, two of three lanes are scheduled to be closed on I-40 East from the U.S. 421/I-40 split to Peters Creek Parkway.
Motorists should remain alert and use caution while traveling through the work zones.
