Public Invited to Learn More About Mecklenburg County Project

CHARLOTTE – The N.C. Department of Transportation is hosting a public meeting next week to discuss a proposed project to extend Clanton Road from Donald Ross Road to Wilkinson Boulevard in Charlotte.

The project would also include building a bridge over the Norfolk Southern Railroad tracks and close the existing crossing on Donald Ross Road to improve safety by eliminating train-vehicle collisions.

The meeting will be held from 5-7 p.m. on Feb. 16 at the American Legion, 1940 Donald Ross Road. People may attend the meeting at any time to learn more about the project and speak with members of the project team.

Project details and maps are available on the project's Public Input page. There will not be a formal presentation at the meeting. Comments may submitted through March 3.
