SALISBURY – N.C. Department of Transportation maintenance forces will make daytime repairs to a railroad crossing on U.S. 70 next week.
On Feb. 13, from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., U.S. 70 (Jake Alexander Boulevard) will be closed in both directions between mile markers 14.1 and 15.3. The closure is needed to allow crews to make repairs to the asphalt at the rail crossing between Harrison Road and Statesville Boulevard.
Traffic will be detoured to Statesville Boulevard and Brenner Avenue to return to Jake Alexander Boulevard during the closure.
Motorists should allow extra time and use additional caution while traveling on the detour route.
