​STATESVILLE – More than 33 miles of state roads will soon see improvements in Iredell County thanks to a $6 million contract awarded by the N.C. Department of Transportation to contractor Maymead Inc.
Work includes milling, resurfacing and shoulder reconstruction to a section of U.S. 64 between Simonton and Greenbriar roads in Statesville, along with 45 segments of secondary roads throughout the county.
The project can start as soon as April 3 with completion set for fall 2024.
