Public Meeting, Comment Period Set for I-40/I-440 Projects

RALEIGH – A public meeting is scheduled for this week, followed by a two-week public comment period on proposed improvements to Interstate 40 and its interchange with I-440, U.S. 1 and U.S. 64 near Cary.

Two projects are being developed along this corridor – one that would widen I-40 between the I-440/U.S. 1/U.S. 64 interchange and Lake Wheeler Road, and another that calls for improving the busy interchange near the Crossroads Plaza shopping center.

An open house meeting on these projects will be held at Hope Community Church located at 821 Buck Jones Road in Raleigh from 4-7 p.m. on Tuesday, March 14. People may drop by at any time during this informal gathering to review project maps and information, ask questions and submit feedback that will be considered as the projects progress. Project maps can also be found on the projects webpage at publicinput.com/40-440-us1-interchange, where people may also submit comments through March 28.
