WINSTON-SALEM – An N.C. Department of Transportation contractor will close sections of Interstate 40 in Forsyth County following the Easter weekend for an ongoing rehabilitation and bridge preservation project, weather permitting.
- April 10-12, one of two lanes will close on I-40 West from Highpoint Road to Interstate 74/U.S. 311 from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning.
- April 11-12, the offramp from I-40 West to I-74/US-311 East is scheduled to be closed from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. the following morning with a detour.
Motorists should use caution while traveling through the work zones and plan accordingly for delays.
