DENTON – The N.C. Department of Transportation will temporarily close a road in Davidson County for a pipe replacement next week.
Starting at 7:30 a.m. on May 22, Yates Road will be closed in both directions near Flat Swamp Road to allow NCDOT bridge maintenance crews to safely replace a failed drainpipe.
A signed detour will be in place during the closure.
All work is expected to be complete by June 9.
Motorists are advised to remain alert when approaching the work zone and using the detour.
