DMV State ID Renewal and Saturday Hours
The N.C. Division of Motor Vehicles continues to roll out improvements to enhance customer service.
Customers can now renew state-issued identification cards online up to one year after expiration.
Previously, once these credentials had expired, these renewals and upgrades had to be done in-person at a driver license office.
In addition, 16 driver license offices will offer services to walk-in customers only from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.
This change will take effect beginning June 3rd and last through August 26th.
