SPIVEYS CORNER – A portion of Dunn Road is closed to traffic for next couple of weeks while N.C. Department of Transportation crews repair a pipe.
The roadway, between Old Tower Road and Covenant Lane, closed Monday morning and is scheduled to reopen to traffic by Aug. 4.
During the closure, drivers will use Old Wrench School and Bynum roads as a detour.
Drivers are encouraged to use caution near the site and plan ahead as the closure may cause their commute to take longer than normal.
