RALEIGH – NCDOT contractors are implementing intersection improvements at the intersection of Ten Ten Road and Old Stage Road, including the creation of a dedicated right turn lane and a traffic signal upgrade.
To construct the right turn lane and install the new traffic signal, some shifting of traffic will be required and flaggers will be in place directing traffic through the intersection beginning on or around July 26. Traffic impacts and flagging operations will occur from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. each day between July 26 and July 30. To lessen impacts on Vance Elementary and to avoid traffic disruptions during peak school traffic hours, traffic shifts and flagging operations will occur between 9:20 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. after July 30. The construction is anticipated to last one month, and drivers should expect delays when traveling through the area.
This work is weather dependent. Law enforcement will be in place to assist with directing traffic through the intersection. Drivers should slow down, pay extra attention as they travel through the work zone and allow extra time to navigate the intersection.
