CHARLOTTE – N.C. Department of Transportation maintenance crews will temporarily close the ramp from U.S. 74 (Independence Boulevard) West to Sixth/McDowell streets from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday, weather permitting.
The closure is needed so crews can safely perform vegetation clearing, curb line cleaning and crack sealing.
Drivers can continue on I-277 to the Fourth Street exit, then turn left to access McDowell Street.
