I-40 Closures Planned Tonight in Forsyth County

WINSTON SALEM –An N.C. Department of Transportation contractor will implement overnight lane closures tonight on Interstate 40 in Forsyth County for an ongoing rehabilitation and bridge preservation project, weather permitting.

The following closures will take place from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning:

•One of two lanes will close on I-40 west from Highpoint Road to the I-74 interchange.

•Two of three lanes will close on I-40 west from U.S. 52 to Peter Creek Parkway

•The off ramp from I-40 west to I-74 east (exit 196) will be closed with a detour.

Motorists should use caution while traveling through the work zones and plan accordingly for delays.
