CHERRYVILLE – N.C. Department of Transportation crews will close Flay Road between Hull and Brown roads on Tuesday morning, Sept. 26, weather permitting.
The closure is needed so crews can safely replace a crossline pipe under the roadway. The work is expected to take up to four weeks.
During the closure, a posted detour will take drivers from Flay Road to Wehunt Brown Road and N.C. 274, returning to Flay Road.
Local access will be maintained during the project.
