HENDERSONVILLE – N.C. Department of Transportation contractors are currently resurfacing roads in three popular areas.
All operations are being conducted from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. on weekdays with lane closures in place as needed for the safety of drivers, cyclists, pedestrians and workers. Pending weather, all resurfacing should be completed by the end of October.
In each location, crews are milling out old asphalt, patching where necessary, and installing traffic signal lines and installing ADA-compliant curb ramps as needed for each of the following projects.
Hendersonville: King Street/U.S. 64 to South Main Street.
Brevard: Main Street from Gallimore Road to Oaklawn Street.
Brevard: U.S. 64 from Tom Rogers Road to North Country Club Road.
Transportation officials remind drivers to remain alert, obey all posted traffic signs and follow instructions of local law enforcement in active work zones.
