FAIRVIEW – A one-day project will close Emmas Grove Road on Sunday for a pipe replacement, weather permitting,
N.C. Department of Transportation crews are scheduled to close the road starting at 7:30 a.m. and reopen it later that evening. A detour will direct traffic to Concord Road, Cane Creek Road and Gap Creek Road.
Sunday’s work will allow crews to plan other pipe replacements that will be necessary prior to a separate resurfacing project scheduled for later this year.
Drivers should factor this detour into their trip, obey all posted traffic signs and be alert if near the work site.
