New NC Quick Pass Website Celebrates One Year Anniversary

RALEIGH - In February 2023, NC Quick Pass relaunched ncquickpass.com, streamlining the customer experience and making it easier than ever to create or manage a NC Quick Pass account, pay a bill, order a new transponder and more.

Since launching the new website, 110,000 new accounts have been created and 290,000 transponders have been sold. Part of this growth is owed to the website’s new ability to allow customers to create an account while paying their most recent toll invoice. Since launching the new website last year, ncquickpass.com has seen a 63% increase in website traffic.

“NC Quick Pass is proud of the improvements we have made to the customer experience,” said JJ Eden, Executive Director of the N.C. Turnpike Authority. “We are hard at work continuing to enhance and simplify our customer experience for the 2+ million annual customers we serve.”

Beyond the customer-facing website, last year’s updates also extensively reworked NC Quick Pass’ back-office system, assisting more than 1 million customers in person or over the phone. More than
150,000 customers have also chosen to download the new NC Quick Pass app to pay their invoice or manage their account.

Customer looking to open or manage their NC Quick Pass account can do so at
ncquickpass.com or by downloading the NC Quick Pass app

North Carolina toll facilities are equipped with all-electronic tolling, which means no toll booths and no need to slow down to pay a toll. Customers have two ways to pay tolls, either with a prepaid transponder or through the Bill by Mail program. Customers that pay with a prepaid transponder save 35% on tolls in North Carolina.

A NC Quick Pass account is the easiest and most cost-effective way to pay tolls and saves you 35% on tolls in North Carolina. Using a prepaid transponder allows customers to pay tolls in up to 19 states.

Customers who do not wish to open an account will pay through the post-paid Bill by Mail program. Under this program, the registered owner of the vehicle receives an invoice in the mail at the higher Bill by Mail toll rate.
