WINSTON SALEM – N.C. Department of Transportation crews plan to perform lane closures and ramp closures this weekend as a part of work for the Winston Salem Beltway Project.
Weather permitting, starting Friday morning at 9 a.m. the Westinghouse southbound right lane of U.S. 52 will be closed for crews to begin work for the new crossover for U.S. 52 and the N.C. 65 exit ramp.
On Sunday, drivers should expect a closure on the N.C. 65 ramp for striping work. All work is expected to be complete on Sunday night and traffic will begin the new pattern.
Throughout the weekend, drivers are urged to avoid the area, if possible, to minimize delays. The department asks drivers to plan accordingly and use caution when traveling through work zones.
