CLAYTON- Contractors for the N.C. Department of Transportation plan to close the ramp from Interstate 40 East to N.C. 42, for one night this weekend.
Weather permitting, crews will close the exit ramp starting at 11 p.m. reopening Monday morning at 5.
Traffic will detour to U.S. 70 (Exit 309) to access N.C. 42.
Drivers should plan for this closure, remain alert and follow all posted traffic and detour signs.
