CLAYTON – Contractors will close two ramps on Interstate 40 at N.C. 42 (Exit 312) this week, weather permitting.
Crews will close the ramp from N.C. 42 East to I-40 East tonight starting at 11 p.m. reopening Wednesday morning at 5. Traffic will detour to N.C. 50 to N.C. 210 to access I-40 East.
On Thursday, the exit ramp from I-40 West to N.C. 42 (Exit 312) will close starting at 11 p.m. reopening at 5 a.m. Friday. Traffic will detour to U.S. 70 (Exit 309) to access N.C. 42.
Drivers should plan for this closure, remain alert and follow all posted traffic and detour signs.
