INDIAN TRAIL β A Union County intersection will soon be converted to a roundabout, thanks to a $3.4 million contract the N.C. Department of Transportation awarded earlier this year.
This is the second roundabout included in this contract, with the first being completed this spring at Lawyers Road and Indian Trail-Fairview Road. The second will be built at Lawyers Road and Rocky River Road, requiring a full intersection closure and detour for drivers.
Contract crews will install the closure Wednesday, July 31. A signed detour will take drivers from Lawyers Road to Rocky River Road and Indian Trail-Fairview Road, returning to Lawyers Road.
Motorists should use caution when approaching the work area and plan for extra time to reach their destination.
