SOUTHPORT – The N.C. Department of Transportation’s Southport-Fort Fisher ferry route will suspend service from Friday morning through Saturday to perform scheduled maintenance on ramps and marine pilings at the Southport ferry terminal.
On Sept. 6, the ferry will make its scheduled departures from Southport at 5:30 a.m. and 7 a.m., and from Fort Fisher at 6:15 a.m. and 7:45 a.m. After that, the route will suspend operations for the rest of the day Friday and all day Saturday.
The route will resume regularly scheduled service on Sunday, Sept. 8.
