WINSTON SALEM –A contractor with the N.C. Department of Transportation will implement lane closures this week on U.S. 52 Southbound in Forsyth County as part of the Winston-Salem Northern Beltway interchange project in Rural Hall, weather permitting.
Tomorrow night at 9 p.m., the right lane of U.S. 52 Southbound will close to facilitate the relocation of a barrier wall in preparation for an upcoming traffic shift. This work is expected to be completed by 6 a.m. the following morning.
On Friday at 9 p.m., the right lane will again close to move the barrier wall and mill to shift traffic from the median to the outside. This work aims to complete the widening of U.S. 52 at the Ziglar Road Bridge, with plans to reopen the road by 9 a.m. Saturday.
As this work coincides with the final days of the Carolina Classic Fair, drivers are advised to consider alternative routes. Fairgoers are encouraged to take N.C. 74 to N.C. 66 to avoid delays.
