GRAHAM- Starting next Monday, the North Carolina Department of Transportation will close a section of N.C. 54 (East Harden Street) in Alamance County to accommodate utility construction work.
The closure will take place nightly from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m., Monday through Friday, and will continue through Friday, Nov. 22.
During this time, N.C. 54 (East Harden Street) will be closed to traffic between N.C. 49 (East Elm Street) and Flanigan Street. A signed detour will direct drivers along N.C. 49 (East Elm Street) to N.C. 87 (North Main Street), and back to N.C. 54.
Motorists are advised to follow detour signs and use caution in the area. Drivers are encouraged to plan ahead and allow extra travel time.
