NCDOT Seeks Public Input on Marsh Causeway Bridge Replacement Project

People are invited to a public meeting Dec. 9 in Knotts Island to provide input on the Marsh Causeway Bridge Replacement Project. 
RALEIGH – The N.C. Department of Transportation will hold a publi​c meeting next month to answer questions and accept comments on a proposal to replace the bridge on N.C. 615 (Marsh Causeway) over Corey’s Ditch near Knotts Island in Currituck County.

The project would either replace the 180-foot bridge in place, or close the man-made canal and pave it over with new roadway. Project details and maps can be found on the project webpage at publicinput.com/nc615-currituck.

The meeting will be held from 5-7 p.m. Dec. 9 at Knotts Island Elementary School, 413 Woodleigh Road in Knotts Island. 

Information on the project will be presented at the meeting allowing for one-on-one discussions with engineers, but there will be no formal presentation. People may drop in at any time to review preliminary design maps, ask questions of engineers and submit comments.

The public comment period will end on Dec. 30
