RURAL HALL –N.C. Department of Transportation crews plan to perform lane closures and overnight closures this weekend as a part of work for the Winston-Salem Northern Beltway project.
Weather permitting, starting Friday morning at 9 a.m. the Westinghouse southbound ramp and right lane of U.S. 52 will be closed for crews to remove the shoulder and concrete island. On Saturday and Sunday crews will continue work to repave the asphalt and place the new ramp. All lanes are expected to reopen late Sunday night.
Throughout the weekend, drivers are urged to avoid the area, if possible, to minimize delays. The department asks drivers to plan accordingly and use caution when traveling through work zones.
