Guilford County Road Closing for Bridge Replacement

PLEASANT GARDEN – An N.C. Department of Transportation contractor will close a road in Guilford County for about nine months for a bridge replacement project.

Beginning at 7 a.m. on July 22, Coble Church Road between Amick and Monnett Roads will be closed to allow crews to construct a new bridge that carries traffic over Climax Creek. The new bridge is anticipated to open to traffic by April 2025.

During the closure a signed detour will guide traffic around the closure using Old Julian, Watchtower and Monnett Roads.

Drivers are advised to use extra caution and plan accordingly for delays due to the detour.
