LEXINGTON – N.C. Department of Transportation crews will implement nightly lane closures on Interstate 85 from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. this week, weather permitting.
Starting Wednesday night, two of three lanes will be closed on I-85 northbound at the E. Old Highway 64 bridge. The exit ramp (Exit 94) will remain open during the closures. All work is expected to be complete on March 1.
The closures are necessary to allow crews to conduct repairs to the steel bridge girders.
Drivers should be mindful of crews working in this area and expect delays at night.
