ROXBORO – The N.C. Department of Transportation's Maintenance Department plans to close both directions of Hester's Store Road next week between Thee Hester Road and Roseville Loop Road to replace a pipe damaged during Tropical Storm Chantal.
Work is scheduled to start Dec. 15 at 8 a.m. and is expected to be complete by the evening of Dec. 19, weather permitting.
Traffic will detour to N.C. 49 and John Allen Road back to Hester's Store Road.
Drivers should slow down and pay attention near the work zone.
