CASTLE HAYNE – To improve safety, highway workers plan to install all-way stops this month in two counties north of Wilmington.
The Division 3 staff for the N.C. Department of Transportation will install additional stop signs and pavement markings at the following locations and dates:
- April 14: Rocky Run Road where it intersects with Olde Towne Pointe Blvd and Cobblestone Trail in Onslow County
- April 21: N.C. 903 where it intersects at Outlaw Bridge Road in Duplin County
- April 22: N.C. 50 where it intersects at Maready Road in Duplin County
An all-way stop is a proven, cost-effective measure designed to enhance intersection safety and reduce the risk of serious crashes. For more information on this initiative, please visit the NCDOT webpage.
Drivers should exercise caution when traveling through these areas while the safety improvements are underway. This work is weather-dependent and could be rescheduled.
