CEDAR MOUNTAIN - The N.C. Department of Transportation will hold a public meeting this week to present proposed improvements to a Transylvania County intersection and obtain feedback from the public.
From 5 – 7 p.m. April 24 at the Cedar Mountain Community Center, NCDOT officials will be on-hand for an informal, drop-in style meeting to discuss proposed construction of a roundabout at the intersection of U.S. 276 and Cascade Lake Road.
The purpose of the proposed project is to improve safety conditions and traffic flow.
Roundabouts are proven to help reduce congestion while also improving safety for drivers, pedestrians, and bicyclists.
NCDOT representatives and consultant project team members will be available to answer questions and receive comments regarding the potential improvements.
All comments received will be reviewed and discussed by the project team and taken into consideration as the project develops.
For project details, visit the public input website.
The public is encouraged to submit comments at the public meeting or online until May 9 by emailing us276-cacadelakerd@publicinput.com.
