DENTON – North Carolina Department of Transportation maintenance crews will temporarily close a section of North Main Street in Davidson County this week, weather permitting.
Beginning Wednesday morning, the road will be closed for about three weeks, with an expected reopening date of May 23. This closure is necessary for crews to replace a storm drain culvert beneath the roadway.

detour route will guide motorists via North Main Street., N.C.109 and East First Street during the closure. Drivers are encouraged to follow all posted detour signs and exercise caution when traveling in the area.
