HIGH POINT – N.C. Department of Transportation contract crews will implement nightly closures on a portion of South Main Street near the intersection of U.S. 29 Business starting tomorrow night, weather permitting.
The closures will begin each night at 9 p.m. and the road will reopen by 6 a.m. the following morning. Work is expected to continue for approximately two weeks.
These nightly closures are necessary for the demolition of the U.S. 29 South bridge over South Main Street. Traffic on U.S. 29 will not be impacted by this operation.
A signed detour will be provided to safely guide South Main Street drivers around the closure.
