NCDOT to Hold Public Meeting on Replacement of Pembroke Creek Bridge

EDENTON – Members of the public are invited to attend a meeting Thursday to discuss the replacement of the Pembroke Creek Bridge on West Queen Street in Chowan County.

The meeting will be held from 5-7 p.m. at the American Legion, located at 1317 West Queen Street in Edenton.

The meeting will focus on two options for traffic flow while the bridge is being built. One option includes an offsite detour onto U.S. 17. The other option allows for continued traffic with lane closures during a staged construction process.

No formal presentation will be made, but N.C. Department of Transportation engineers will be on hand to answer questions and receive comments on both options.
