RALEIGH – The N.C. Department of Transportation has awarded a $1.7 million contract to Sunrock Industries LLC to improve more than eight miles of roadway in Person and Caswell counties.
The project will include milling, resurfacing and shoulder reconstruction.
The roads to be improved are:
- Cunningham Road from the Caswell-Person County line to the North Carolina-Virgina border.
- Cunningham Road near the Person County border to N.C. 119
- Hassel Clayton Road at McGhees Mill Road
- Morton Pulliam Road from Jack Hambrick Road to the intersection of McGhees Mills Road and Concord Ceffo Road
- Shady Hill Circle at U.S. 501
- Harrington Lane at Ridge Road
- Tanglewood Circle at Harrington Lane
- Henderson Road between Burch Avenue and N.C. 49
- Graves Road at Lindsey Carver Road
- Lindsey Carver Road at N.C. 157
Work may begin this summer and is expected to be completed by late fall of 2026.
