WINGATE – The N.C. Department of Transportation has awarded a $764,306 contract to Mocksville contractor Eastern Structures, LLC to replace a bridge on Lawyers Road over Bull Creek.
The date of availability, or earliest the contractor can start, is June 16. The road will be closed during this phase of the project, anticipated to last into spring 2026. Vegetation establishment is scheduled to continue into the winter of 2026.
Once the road is closed, traffic will be detoured along Olive Branch Road and McIntyre Road, returning to Lawyers Road.
