KNIGHTDALE – Contractors for the N.C. Department of Transportation plan to close a section of Smithfield Road for nighttime resurfacing work.
This work will require lane closures on Smithfield Road, near Interstate 87, tonight through June 20. Work will begin at 7 p.m. and finish the following day by 6 a.m., weather permitting.
Drivers should be alert to flaggers directing traffic. Motorists may experience delays and are advised to follow posted detours and use alternate routes when possible.
