DURHAM – Contractors for the N.C. Department of Transportation will close Hillsborough Road near Trent Drive for nine days to replace an underground water pipe.
Work is scheduled to start the morning of June 16 and last through June 25, weather permitting.
Motorists travelling eastbound will use Trent Drive, West Main Street, and 15th Street to access Hillsborough Road.
Motorists travelling westbound will detour to 15th Street, West Main Street, and Trent Drive to access Hillsborough Road.
Trucks are encouraged to use West Main Street instead of Hillsborough Road.
Motorists should allow extra travel time while work is underway and be alert to the crews in the area.
