BOONE – A Watauga County road will close for two days while N.C. Department of Transportation workers replace a pipe in the area.
Wilson Ridge Road will close at 8 a.m. Wednesday, June 25, while crews replace the existing 18-inch pipe. The road is expected to open by 3:30 p.m. Thursday, June 26.
The new 24-inch pipe will better accommodate water flow in the area.
Motorists can use Bamboo Road and Deerfield Road to bypass Wilson Ridge Road. Residents will be allowed through the work zone.
