CALYPSO - The N.C. Department of Transportation will close a section of U.S. 117 in Duplin County beginning Wednesday.
Crews will close U.S. 117 South near West Trade Road and South Fourth Street in Calypso to refurbish the deck of the bridge built in 1958. The repairs are expected to be completed in August.
A detour will be available using U.S. 117, N.C. 50 and N.C. 403. Motorists should remain alert when traveling near the area and follow all posted signs.
