BOONE – A Watauga County road will close while N.C. Department of Transportation crews replace a large culvert.
Howards Creek Road will close near N.C. 194 beginning Monday, Aug. 4, while crews replace a culvert Hurricane Helene damaged.
Detour signs will guide drivers around the closure by taking N.C. 194 then Clint Lewis Road to Howards Creek Road.
NCDOT officials expect crews to finish the work by mid-August.
